Located in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, Gaucho Parrilla Argentina serves wood-fired delights with an Argentine flare.
Unlike traditional restaurants we are “crash the counter” style without table-side service. Once your entire party orders with the cashier we will find you a table in the dining room or on our patio. A food runner will deliver your order to your table by calling the name given. Our porters on the floor are available to assist with refills, desserts, questions and to bus the tables.
Gaucho is first come, first serve! Therefore, we do not accept any reservations. On busy evenings, it is possible that we issue the “end of the line sign” to the last person we are able to serve in line. Those who arrive after the sign has been handed out are not guaranteed a table before we close for the night. If you plan on arriving within 60-90 minutes of closing, please call ahead to ensure the line has not be cut!
We are BYOB with no corkage or bottle fees. A sharing policy is strictly enforced…with sarcasm!
All tips collected throughout the day are split with the entire crew. From cashiers and porters to the kitchen crew…even Ryan Caldwell!
So you’ve made it to the Strip District now where to park?! There is metered parking along Penn Ave that is free after 6pm. Behind Gaucho, on Smallman Street, there are the same metered spots and a large lot that is not so free. When parking on Smallman, you are able to reach us via the ramp in the back of restaurant to the patio.
We do have a private dining facility downstairs in our Bodega. If the Bodega is not booked for a private event, reservations can be made for our Bodega Experience, a semi-private, four course chef’s tasting menu for $50 +tax/gratuity.1601 Penn Ave
